About

Why these projects exist.

WGPS is a home for compact web tools built around questions that deserve something more practical than a generic article.

Small by design.

A WGPS project is meant to be understandable without a sales call, onboarding sequence or large product ecosystem. The goal is to take a narrow problem and build the smallest useful thing that can address it clearly.

That can be a calculator, a structured reference, a decision aid or another focused utility. Different projects may cover different subjects; they share an approach rather than a topic.

What we try to preserve.

  • Clarity: the user should know what the tool does and what it does not do.
  • Transparency: where a result depends on assumptions or formulas, those assumptions should be visible.
  • Low friction: a small task should not require a large interface.
  • Independence: projects can stand on their own and can be retired if they stop being useful.

Current project.

The first published project is the Frequent Guest Calculator, a tool for estimating a frequent guest's baseline contribution to variable household costs using a person-day calculation.
